ZāGO
Manufacturing Company has been producing
self-sealing fasteners for nearly twenty years and
had its origins in the Business Incubator of the New
Jersey Institute of Technology, Newark, New Jersey.
Five years after its founding ZāGO graduated from the
Incubator with a special
achievement award and moved to
the Ironbound district of Newark where its business
flourished. In 2005, ZāGO moved its operations to a
state-of-the-art facility in south Newark in close
proximity to Newark Airport, the Port of Newark and
all of
New Jersey’s major transportation routes.
ZāGO
maintains its administration systems in accordance
with the standards and guidelines of ISO
9001:2008. Accordingly, ZāGO has been
accessed and approved by QAS-International and is
the holder of certificate No. A2704US.
ZāGO is
proud to manufacture its products in the U.S.A.
using the best materials available.
Seal
screws are unique in their head configuration.
As you can see from the illustration, a recess
groove is machined or cold-headed to form a cavity
shape into which the "O"-ring is fitted. The
groove volume is calculated based on the "O"-ring
cross section, the "O"-ring inside diameter and the
compression of the cavity walls, i.e., the groove
into which the "O"-ring is fitted. The
combination of the cavity (groove) and the "O"-ring
provides a tight seal by squeezing the "O"-ring.
In the illustration you can clearly see that with
the "O"-ring compressed, a zero clearance is created
within the cavity itself, blocking the
internal/external flow of liquids or gases.
At Zago,
each feature of each screw is tested to eliminate
any and all sources of seal screw failure.
Our philosophy here at ZāGO is that in
today’s world the goal should not be to
“arrive” but rather to constantly
improve our manufacturing processes and
products. We will continue to strive to
find ways not just to meet our
customers’ needs, but to always exceed
their expectations.
