To obtain optimum
seal screw performance, a clearance gap should be
machined into which the "O" ring will be fitted.
Through slight oversizing and the accompanying
"squeeze", the "O" ring seals this gap. This
clearance hole prevents extrusion into the metal
while under pressure.
